Hi folks!
I hope everything is good in your part of the world. We're still awfully dry here in Far West Texas but I guess that's why they call it the desert. We have had some cold icy days the last few days. I think our high Friday was about 25. That ought to get some of those first calf heifers to calving. Right about now is when everyone starts calving in this part of the world.
We have a couple of shows coming up. The first one is in January in Midland Texas at the horseshoe event center. The West Texas chapter of the Safari club International is having a hunting show on January 18. The other show will be Art of the Cowgirl February 25th through March 1st in Wickenburg, Arizona. Really a cool show especially for all you gals out there. It has a great breakaway open, a 25 team all girl ranch rodeo, World's Greatest Horsewoman, a world class tradeshow, lots of clinics, and just a really really good time. So, if you're looking to get out of the cold about then come to Wickenburg!
We will be leaving in about 10 days going to the western market in Dallas. It gives us a chance to see what's new in the western world and test my driving skills in the city. When you have to drive 65 miles from Alpine to get to a town that has a stoplight with three colors in it, driving in Dallas can be quite a challenge. Please pray for me!
We just finished up the Fort Worth PRCA trophy, buckles and plan to take in the rodeo one night while we're in Dallas, Bruce McCarty and his crew at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo always do an excellent job making it one of the premier rodeos in the world. We are honored to be associated with them in one small way. Hope you have a good January!
Adios for now

Gary, how do you get to DFW? You must fly there and get a rental car? I can't see you even being able to drive all that way without a chauffeur? Or maybe you just ride an old mule? Your ol' pal, Mike Bell in San Antonio
