Happy winter time!

We finally had a couple of days of semi cold weather. That's the first sign we have seen of winter this year. Looks like the 70° days are over with for now. We had some light showers earlier in the week that were fairly general, but didn't amount too much. Sure made the air smell good.

We shipped the Fort Worth PRCA rodeo buckles last week. We do a similar but different in someway design each year. They are really a fun job since their taste and ours is very similar. Don't forget the ranch rodeo kicks off the Fort Worth Stock Show this Friday and Saturday. Always really good ranches participating in the Ranching Heritage weekend.

I think the hunters have about wound up most of the hunts with the exception of the aoudad hunters. They're still seems to be plenty of them around and I'm pretty sure we have plenty of aoudad for them.

I see where the Y bar O Ranch is on the market. It is originally part of the old Neville country and has been owned by the Yarborough family for many, many years. I hope whoever buys it arr cattle people because it is really really good ranch.

We neighbored them for 35 years with some lease country. They really fixed the place up nice under their stewardship.

I'm not sure if you buy a ranch how you could get it stocked at today's cow prices. I'm happy for the people that are already in business, but it would sure be tough for somebody to enter in right now. Well, here's hoping the good prices stay around a while and you have a good rest of the winter

Adios for now,

Gary Dunshee
