Note from the Saddle Bench - March 2022

 Hi Folks!

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. It's still powder keg dry here. Our last moisture was the middle of August, hope you are faring better. We are fortunate not to have had any fires this year. The loco is blooming, sure wouldn't want to run out of loco seeds... 😒

There are a lot of folk branding now. T
hey are having a hard time taking time off from the feed trucks to get the calves all worked. Gramma grass is good stuff, but it sure needs some protein and energy to go with it this time of year.

We relocated a lot of tierra firma this last moth with the howling winds of spring. Just hope they blow us in a rain before spring is over.

Don't forget that the Western Heritage Classic in Abilene, Tx is coming up May 12-15. It is always a good time with something for everyone.

We continue to add new merchandise to the store. The latest is smoked meat from Max and Marsha Stable. Link sausage, pork tenderloin, and several types of summer sausage are available now and we will be adding more in the future.

Another soon to be here item are the genuine Navajo Rugs, made on reservations in western New Mexico. Call for photos of what will be available. They will be one of a kind 100% wool in traditional designs.

Hope to see everyone in Abilene!

Adios for now,

Gary Dunshee
