November 2022 - Note from the Saddle Bench

 Hi folks!

Hope all is well in su tierra. We have been enjoying some beautiful weather here. I have noticed some of the yuccas are trying to bloom again. Never have seen that in November. When it's really dry for long periods of time they will try to bloom early, like the end of January or February. For them to bloom in November, I'm not sure if that's late or early. They sure had plenty to drink the last couple of months. What few yearlings were in this country this past summer really did well. They mashed the scales pretty good the end of October.

We are loading to up to go to Amarillo tomorrow for the WRCA World Championships. If you've never been, you owe it to yourself to go at least once. Kind of like a giant reunion for our kind of people. No strangers there, and the tourists don't show up. People spend the entire day at the coliseum visiting.

The shop just bought a laser machine to personalize a wider range of items than what we have done in the past. We can now put almost any logo on leather.  We will also have the capacity to engrave or etch logos, brands, etc. on some knife handles as well as the blades. We just finished an order for 300 knives with a company logo. Not to mention, the girls lasered the shop logo on a pumpkin pie the first day we had the machine. We know what their priorities are...

We have filled the shop with lots of special items for Christmas. If you need some suggestions for gifts, feel free to give us a call and we can tell you what we can do.

Don't forget that we will be at the "Art of the Cowgirl" in Queen Creek, Arizona in January. It is quite a pachanga if you have never been. Maybe we will see you there!

Hope you have a good month and a Happy Thanksgiving! Adios for now.
