Hi Folks!

Well it rained again and most of the country is in good shape. The verbena got after it again and are putting on another show. looks like we have a lot of grass coming up from seed, which we really need to fill in the bare spots. Maybe it will rain enough to keep it alive 'til it cools off and the grass can get established.

The Western Heritage Classic in Abilene, TX was a really good show. The horse sale was really good if you were on the selling end of the deal. They seem to be bringing in lots of money. I think that's great because it takes a tremendous amount of time to raise and make a good horse. Lots of people don't realize what all goes into a good one.

The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers are having meetings in Marfa this week. This makes several summers they have met out here. Guess they decided going to the mountains for meetings was better than sweating them out in Fort Worth. Hope they get the beef industry lined out while they are here. And while they are at it, they can order some more rain from the hired weather gurus. Hope you have a good June!

Adios for now,

Gary Dunshee
